Sean guides you through Lessons, Classes, and Workshops for AnimalSign (for dogs, horses, etc.) or Manners through Communication (for dogs, horses, and cats). AnimalSign teaches animals to communicate more clearly (and to help humans understand their communications more clearly). Manners involves behaving appropriately, learned through positive behavior management. Sean uses the most advanced, positive training techniques (including ABA protocols) to achieve good relationships and results.

These sessions can be private, semi-private, and group lessons several times a month, or in concentrated coaching or workshops. These are held regularly in the San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Monterey Areas. Workshops are offered throughout the USA/Canada and Internationally, by arrangement.

1) Foundation Communication Skills (required first)

This foundation class focuses on teaching humans and dogs the foundation principles and K9Signs for better communication. The human learns to recognize natural canine communications and how to respond appropriately. The dog learns to behave (and enjoy doing so), respond to your instructions, and communicate in details its essential needs, wants, and fun requests/comments (such as Water, Food, Toy, Potty, Pay Attention, and other K9Signs). Additional Custom K9Signs learned depend on the human-canine needs and purpose (companion, service, working).

2) Communicate for Positive Behavior & Skills

The Behavior class focuses on communication that enables appropriate behavior. I examine the behavior issues you have and behaviors you want. With that I develop and implement a plan to achieve the goals. I teach you and your dog new skills using positive, effective approaches. Foundation skills are essential.

3) K9Tap: Communication Games for Enrichment, Rehabilitation, Service

The Games class focuses on teaching extensive communication through a novel easy tools called K9Tap. Both you and your dog will learn to communicate, play, and work with each other with K9Tap. It's easy, fun, and can provide enhanced communication to a working service human-canine team. The communication method is easy as it does not require much movement. Animals in rehabilitation from injury, at rescues waiting for adoption, handicapped in various ways (deaf, blind, old) or just plain bored can use K9Tap for mental stimulation, increasing intelligence, interacting with their human, or just plain fun. Foundation skills are essential.

K9SIGN Polite Pet Dog Class (Regular Sessions)

This class is focused on teaching manners (obedience) using positive communication and Applied Behavior Analysis approaches. Dogs learn the basics such as Attend, Sit, Stay, Down, Off, Come, Leave it, Release, Take, Walk, as well as feedback Yes, Yeah, and Na. Other instructions are included as needed. The human learns the basic principles of learning and how to maintain these behaviors.

Regularly weekly session starts at the beginning of the month on Saturday for 4 weeks. Mornings 11-12 am. Classes are held at Collier Feed and Pet Shop, Salinas, CA.
